This project came to me after I stopped participating in another online jewelry website. The client had saved my designs and contacted me to see if he could still order a piece directly from me. I told him of course he could! And we got started looking at whether he wanted exactly what he had seen, or if he wanted to make some changes.

It turned out that he had 2 designs he was looking at plus a 3rd that he had found somewhere else but wasn’t sure if it was even possible to put any or all of them together.

Here are the three designs he was looking at:

He liked the thinner metal around the center stone in the top design, the diamonds down the shank in the second design, and wasn’t sure how to or if he should incorporate the third design.

After thinking about it a little bit, I came up with two designs for him.

After conferring with the women in his life, he decided to go with the second design with a blue topaz in the center, diamonds down the side, all in 18K white gold.

Even with the raw materials it was obvious that this piece was going to be stunning.

The final piece turned out amazing!

I hope he and his future bride love this ring as much as I do!

No matter what your engagement looks like, it can be fun to add some extra to it’s look with either a single band, a double band, or a wrap. The benefit to a wrap is that it goes on both sides of your ring which keeps the look symmetrical and the two sides are attached to one another so the rings don’t turn independent of one another.

I recently had a client come to me who was looking for a band for her engagement ring. The problem was that her ring was not standard and she wanted to accentuate the unique angles of her ring.

She wanted a lot of extra sparkle in the band but she wasn’t sure if she wanted the diamonds channel set or prong set. I sent her 2 rendered options to choose from using her ideas.

She loved the prong set band with the curl to accentuate her ring. Every other jeweler she had gone to wanted to fill in the sides of her ring exactly where she wanted to accentuate it.

I sent the file out and got back he casting. Once I have a casting I start getting excited and for this piece it was particularly exciting. The casting was rough but I could already tell the finished product was going to be just what she wanted.

I sent the casting to the jeweler to have the diamonds set and to have the wrap soldered to her engagement ring like she wanted so the finished product would be one single ring for her to wear.

The finished product ended up looking amazing and she was super happy with the ring! It has 18 diamonds that are SI clarity and GH color for a total of 1/4 carats of diamonds total. The metal is 18K white gold to match the engagement ring. It’s always great to have an ecstatically happy customer!
