Hey everyone! A few months ago I made up a bunch of one-of-a-kind pieces to sell and now they are up on my site in my new store!

Each of the pieces in this private collection is truly one of a kind. None of them can/will be replicated. Some are in sterling silver, some 14K gold and some in 18K gold. Some of them have irreplaceable gemstones. Prices range from $190 to $2750.

If you don’t find someone you like in the store, I am always happy to work with you to create a custom piece that is exactly what you want.

Check it out and tell all of your friends!

People have lucky charms so why not lucky jewelry? I’m sure there are people who have piece of jewelry that they truly believe are lucky.

I’m not usually someone to think ANYTHING is lucky but if I did, my lucky piece of jewelry would be a pearl ring.

When my grandmother died a few years ago, I inherited a bunch of her jewelry. The favorite piece of hers that I have now is a pearl and diamond ring. It is like nothing I have seen in stores and it has proven to be lucky for me.

I don’t think the ring has any actual special qualities, but when I wear it I feel sexy and pretty and like I can do anything–for me that feeling creates good luck.

You obviously do not HAVE to buy heart jewelry for Valentine’s day but it does seem to be a popular theme. I decided to do a few heart pendant designs just for the special day that is coming up in a little over 2 weeks.

This pendant is very simple heart with one flush set diamond to accent it.

Designs with two hearts seem to be very popular so here is my view on the idea.

This piece is really fun because it has a lot of diamonds and it’s three separate parts so it can be worn in an infinite number of ways (more than just what I’ve shown!)

Enjoy!

I have one Iolite in my collection and it is a cushion cut. Iolite is a beautiful stone that ranges from blue to purple in color. It is a popular less expensive substitute for both Sapphire and Tanzanite depending on the color of the stone. The Iolite I have is somewhere in between blue and purple and it is really pretty.

The really fun thing about Iolite is that it appears to be bi-colored. In actuality, the stones are not bi-colored but something about the chemical make-up of the stone makes it look that way. Iolite has pleochroism which simply means that when light passes through the stone it takes several paths and returns different colors depending on the angle. Iolite is called the water stone because of this phenomenon. You can tell that the stone isn’t bi-colored because the lighter color in the stone changes depending on the angle of the stone.

You can see this the pleochroism in the following picture of my Iolite. The top of the stone looks lighter than the rest of the stone but you could turn the stone the other way and the colors would reverse.

This stone is for sale! If you are interested please contact me at leah@leahashley.com.

Someone I know from Omaha has been working on getting a jewelry gift for his wife for almost a year and he finally did it for Christmas!

He had seen the circle design pendents on my website and wanted something like this…

but he wanted 4 stones around the outside to represent their 4 children.

Like most people at Christmas, he had a limited budget so we decided to go with silver rather than gold since he wife likes white metal and created sapphires rather than diamonds. We used created blue sapphires for the 2 stones inside the circle that would represent them (the parents) and 4 created while sapphires for the 4 smaller stones to represent their children. The silver piece we had decided to use was pre-fabricated and it had an extra loop so we decided to use it for a charm that was kind of like the infinity symbol since their family will be together forever.

The piece turned out really beautiful and she loved it!
